Rajeev Rajan  received his B. Tech in Electronics and Communication from College of Engineering,  Adoor (Cochin University of Science and Technology) in 2000; M. Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation  from  College of Engineering, Trivandrum in 2004; Ph.D from the Dept.  of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Chennai in 2017.

Before joining in College of Engineering, Trivandrum, in 2018, he served as Assistant Professor in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam (2014-2018)and Government Engineering College Wayanad (2005-2014),  Radiological safety officer/ Senior research fellow at Fluid Control Research Institute  (Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India), Palakkad, Kerala (2004-2005), Graduate Trainee in Liquid Propulsion System Centre (ISRO), Mahendragiri, Tamilnadu (2001-2002).

He has many national and international publications in Journals and Conferences

He teaches Random Processes and Applications, Speech Signal Processing, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Multirate Systems and Wavelets, Adaptive Signal Processing, Digital Image Processing, Image and Video Processing, Pattern Recognition.

His research areas are Speech and  Music Signal Processing, Image Processing

He completed three research projects under TEQIP, namely, Music information retrieval  using melodic similarity,  Development of a multi-lingual emotional speech corpus and its study and Maturity analysis of watermelon using non-destructive testing.
