He received his Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from University of Kerala (College of Engineering,Trivandrum) and his M.Tech. from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
Before joining the ECE department ,CET in 1991,he was an Engineer(1988-89) at IHRD,Trivandrum.
He was Head of the ECE department at Government Engineering College,Wayanad (1999-2000) and Government Engineering College,Barton Hill, Trivandrum (2011-12)
